SEEDY TIMES CAN GROW BENEFITS

These are the times that try men's & women's souls:
A virtual War to be Confronted

Fallback No. 1 - Assign space, a windowsill, backyard however small, a field, and plan a VICTORY GARDEN - It's not too early to sprout a selection of nutritious spices, herbs, greens, or the larger vegetable varieties if there is space, or, in limited space , consider a healthy collection of SPROUTS grown in jars.

Fallback No. 2 - Abandon sedentary lifestyle - "The 21st Century Plague", according to Healthy People 2010, "Poor nutrtion and lack of appropriate physical activity are major causes of obesity and diabetes, which are considered national epidemics."

Fallback No.3 - Save $$$ on vitamins. The New York Times, 11.05.07, T. P. Pope, "The Case for Real Foods". Now that several vitamin studies have produced disappointing results, there's growing belief that food is more than just a sum of nutrient parts, and observational studies have shown that diets rich in fruits, vegetables, and fish, among other things, are associated with better health.

Fallback No. 4 - Save $$$$$ - Abandon Sugary Beverages - "People are taking in enormous amounts of calories in liquid form," according to Sara Bleich, Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, "If you're looking for an easy way to lose weight, just stop drinking soda and other sweetened beverages".
